This Privacy Policy describes how Suuqe LLC. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Suuqe AI mobile application ("App").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Account Information
We generate a random, pseudonymous identifier (UUID) on your device. We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information to create an account.
1.2 Payment & Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple (via the App Store) and/or Stripe. Through these services we may receive limited information associated with your transaction, such as your name, email address, or payment method details. We do not directly collect or store full payment card numbers. This information may also be shared with intermediate payment processors involved in completing the transaction; these intermediaries are outside of Suuqe LLC.'s control and are governed by their own privacy policies.
1.3 Household & Preference Data
During onboarding and normal use you may provide:
- Household size.
- Dietary preferences and restrictions (e.g., Vegetarian, Keto, Nut Allergy).
- Cooking skill level and frequency.
- Weekly grocery budget and preferred stores.
- Kitchen appliance inventory.
- Essential pantry items.
1.4 Kitchen & Shopping Data
- Items you add to your kitchen inventory (name, quantity, price, storage location, expiry dates, freshness data).
- Shopping cart and grocery list contents.
- Kitchen history events (items consumed, wasted, or verified).
- Meal plans and saved recipes.
1.5 Location Data
- With your permission, we collect foreground GPS coordinates to determine whether you are at a grocery store.
- We use Google Maps and OpenStreetMap services to reverse-geocode your location.
- We do not track your location in the background.
- Your last-known store is cached locally to reduce repeat lookups.
1.6 Photos & Camera
- With your permission, we access your camera to photograph food items, receipts, and price tags.
- Photos are transmitted to our servers and to Google Gemini AI for analysis (freshness, quality, item identification, price extraction).
- Photos may be stored in our cloud storage (Azure Blob Storage) linked to your pseudonymous account.
1.7 Voice & Microphone
- With your permission, we capture audio for the voice assistant ("Chef AI Voice").
- Audio is streamed in real-time to Google Gemini for processing.
- Voice data is transient and is not persistently stored by us.
1.8 Device Information
- Push notification token (Expo push token).
- A random device identifier for push notification delivery.
- On iOS, an Apple DeviceCheck attestation token for fraud prevention.
- Device platform type (iOS or Android).
1.9 Usage Data
- API request logs (timestamps, operation types) for service monitoring.
- No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels are used.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the App's features (inventory tracking, meal planning, AI analysis).
- Provide AI-powered food analysis, recipe suggestions, and kitchen assistance.
- Deliver push notifications (expiry warnings, meal ideas) based on your preferences.
- Detect stores near you and associate prices with locations.
- Prevent fraud and abuse via device attestation.
- Maintain and improve our services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

These services have their own privacy policies. AI model providers may process data according to their own terms, though we select configurations that minimize data retention where available. Payment processors and their intermediaries handle transaction data under their own privacy policies and security standards.
4. DATA STORAGE & RETENTION
4.1 On-Device Storage
Most of your data is stored on your device using Apple iCloud (CloudStorage), which syncs across your Apple devices. This includes: kitchen inventory, shopping cart, preferences, grocery lists, meal plans, recipes, and AI conversation memories. Additional caches are stored in on-device AsyncStorage.
4.2 Server-Side Storage
Our backend stores: Your pseudonymous account record (UUID and auth key), uploaded food photos and receipt images (Azure Blob Storage), product catalog and price data, store/place records, device attestation records, push notification registration, and API usage logs.
4.3 Retention Period
- On-device data is retained until you delete it or delete your account.
- Server-side account data is deleted promptly upon account deletion request.
- Uploaded images are queued for deletion upon account deletion.
- API logs may be retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes.
5. YOUR RIGHTS & DATA DELETION
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the App.
- Account deletion will: (a) remove your user record from our servers, (b) queue deletion of uploaded images, (c) erase all on-device data.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete the associated data.
7. SECURITY
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including pseudonymous accounts, data encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), iCloud encryption, and device attestation. However, no method is 100% secure.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and a version summary within the App. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
